About library and Knowledge Resources Centre

College Library was started in 1994 having 1023.86sq.ft with few collection of library resources. Library divided in two room. One for administrative, stacks, Reference Section, Issue-return counter, another one is for study room/reading room, network resources corner. Today library has all the basic books in Social Work and relevant to various Subjects. Library Books are classified according to the Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme. Library motivate students for Carrier Guidance and Competitive Exam by counselling and group discussion. Providing Current awareness Services with content analysis of periodical and news paper clippings. Various new arrivals of Knowledge resources always Display on notice board in library. E-resources are provided as per requirement through Google Classroom, e-mail, social media etc to users to improve the existing facility. Students are Search various network resources, Google classrooms, e-mails, preparing their PPT, seminar papers, Assignments at network resources corner. Suggestion box have been put in a reading room to receive suggestions and feedback from student and timely response by library staff.

Library Working Hours 10.00 am to 5.00 pm

Library is open on all working days with Exemption of all Public holidays & University Declared holidays.

Library Membership

Our college library has tried best to provide necessary knowledge resources and library facilities and services to all Library Users, Also library has extended its services to external user such as past student, researcher scholars and any visitor. With binding of Rules and Regulation any user can avail the facility of Library resources available in the library. External user has to provide a document of identity proof and paying library deposit according to library rules for taking advantage of library.

Library Rules

- To get library membership, every Student has compulsory to fill up library membership form.
- While entering library Student must have College/library identity card and enter your name and Sign in the register kept at the entrance counter of reading room.
- Book Issue–Return is on basis of Open access system so that student can access books by their choice and topic in library hours.
- Book reservation policy is available by submitting Book demand slip (which is available in library) by mail or manually, before a day.
- Student can Borrow two books at a time but they cannot borrow two books dealing with the same subject and returned with the reader in seven days.The book must be produced at the time of renewal. If the book is not brought at the time of renewal, the student will have to pay a fine for that book for that day.
- Overdue charge Rs. 1 per day will be charged after 7 days.
- Reference/rare books are made available only in the library on daily issue counter.
- After issuing no dues, student can not borrow books out side of library, but they can use reading room facility by submitting college ID-Card to library staff.
- Student can borrow book during exam period on the basis of deposit schemes.
- Library books should be used very carefully. In case of any loss of book, damages, student will fine according library rules. Writing/making marks in the books is strictly forbidden. Pages should not be folded to be as book marks.
- Silence and a quite atmosphere for study should be maintained in the library. Discussions should be held outside the library.
